Andrew's birthday party was today. It was a great success!!! We had a lot of fun with the eight four year olds at Color Me Mine, a pottery painting place. The kids painted figurines, ate cake and helped Andrew open presents. It was very nice! You will notice that there are pictures posted of the party and of "after the party". We are all exhausted (well, the adults, anyway). Grandma and Grandpa watched Kaitlyn during the party, popping in and out of the party. We are very thankful that they helped us out! When she was in the room with all of the other kids, she wanted to be doing what they were doing!!! So, instead, she ran them ragged outside!
The race car birthday cake was a great success (Mom, it was easier than the airplane!). I tried an experiment - coloring the white frosting with Koolaid and Jello. It not only did a better job at coloring the frosting than liquid food coloring, but it also tasted great! We had an orange flavored car and a grape flavored car! I will definitely use that again in the future!
So, we are done with our three months of gifts for the kids! Yea!!! No more immediate family birthdays until some unknown person turns 30. :o)
