What a week!

To quote Kevin, "It always gets interesting before it gets weird!". It is Tuesday, we are all hanging out in the Holiday Inn and we are still in Santa Barbara. Although Andrew keeps saying that we are on vacation, Kevin and I are feeling stuck. Our moving truck was supposed to show up yesterday, but so far our stuff still sits nicely packed inside of our apartment! According to our "booker" in Michigan, there is a nation-wide shortage of truck drivers. That means we get a truck when we get a truck, even though we were told one would be here yesterday! We are hopeful that one will show up tomorrow, but it isn't guaranteed. Our airplane leaves out of LAX on Thursday morning, so we are praying that everything goes as planned from here on out. We did receive some good news today, we are all clear with our home loan, so our closing date will now be Friday instead of Monday! If for some reason the movers do not come tomorrow, Kevin can fly back and deal with it after Friday. Since our only car died a week and a half ago, we are really hoping we can leave Santa Barbara all clear on Thursday. We not only have a house to sign for, but we have to buy a new car as well!!! So, our process has definitely passed from the interesting to the weird! We are all ready for the sigh of relief that will come when the plane touches down in our new home state!!! We will keep you updated and we really appreciate all of your prayers!
